Question on Pics for Board Mods

Is it allowed to scan a drawing from a magazine or comic and post it on this board? Any copyright violations? Just want to make sure 'cause I'd like to do that on occasion.

He's made it known and is a cool guy (fellow monster kid and all) so I wouldn't do his stuff (but that's just me).......

I'm no lawyer, but I believe copyright violation only comes into play if you profit or if you take profit away from the owner.

Snape may know better.
